I must confess. Yeah! I admit I enjoy watching getai (歌台). I will watch it either with my mum or alone, whenever I’m free. You must be thinking, wah lau! ah pek, sia!

No lor, just that is a culture that youngster don’t really appericate in this modern days. Those senior performancers can really sings and make us laugh professionally. Watching getai is another form of relaxation. Dialect (hokkien, cantonese, teochew) songs is so different, and I like them.

881, a new movie by Royston Tan that talks about the unique cultural background of getai show in Singapore coming soon in cinema this 9 Aug. Hence, I wanna watch. Other coming soon movies that interested me as well are Secret and Rush Hour 3.

SECRET is Jay Chous directorial debut that deals with the memory of first love.

This is the first day Lun is admitted to Tamkang Secondary School. When he walks around the campus, he meets Yu (Kwai Lun-Mei) in the music room who is playing a mysterious piano solo. A love confession? or some song lyrics thingy? Read on first.

This entry is inspired by Gary 曹格，while listening to my MP3 player on my way back home. 

My MP3 has alrd ’personalise’ with me. There’s happy, dance, r&b, emotion, love n sad songs in it. And, recently I find that the playlist will play the song according to my mood. That’s what I call music is in my life. 

In dilemma also, dunno is bcos of tired den restless or disappointment cause me restless. Juz feel kinda restless after work.

It started off while I’m listening to 曹格’s 你是我的宝贝。This song is he call a female friend and know that she’s still single. So, he hint her by singing his new song that he created to confess his love.

While listening, I’m thinking of something & someone at the same time. Then, I recall 曹格 also have another 2 songs in his first album suitable for confessing love. 

1. 数到五答应我，is about how he feel each time he met her. With 5 requests from the girl, he want to be her man.

2. 姑娘，is saying that he met this pretty lady (美丽的茉莉花), and he fell for her.

This afternoon, I attended a wedding ceremony. Yup! while working, and is officially invited. Either you have hear it or not, but read it now b4 the press release tomorrow.

The wedding of Radio 91.3 and The Married Man.

Radio DJ, Rod Monteiro joined Radio 91.3FM (managed by SPH UnionWorks) and he’s bringing along a team of 3 married men and 2 lady. This funny and wacky DJ have years of experiences in Radio, from Safra Radio Power 98 to MediaCorp Perfect 10, Gold 90.5, Class 95.

This wedding is a creative idea from the Advertising and Promo team for the press conference held this afternoon. And, it is really decorated and arrange that everything look like a real wedding ceremony, expect there is no ang bao and is exchanging of headphones (instead of rings). haha..

At the wedding reception, and there’s wedding gift too.

And to complete for looking real, there’s Certificate of Marriage too.

As soon as the vows and exchange of rings headphones is over, the reporters start snapping. See how popular they are.

My siblings and I have been very close with our cousins (parental side), as we always play, ‘fight’, go clubbing together. Cos our family stay few blocks close to each others in Clementi.

This day, that we have been waiting for so long has finally came! My 表姐 is getting marry (customary) today.

“今天是我們大喜之日！”

I’m asked to help as the videographer for the day. No prob, since I love wedding. And, my sister was asked to be her 姐妹黨。

I send my sisters to her place, before I head down to Gary’s place to pass him s’thing. Below his blk, all is season parking lots. Thinking tat will be a fast one, so juz slot into a lot. Went up, give, went down (less than 5 mins). WAH!! Saw a long slip at the wiper, tio $30K (san ban)!! “So heng” Damm it! They are so super ONz!!

“去接新娘了！”

Ok! those sisters are hard to deal with. But the brothers are smart too! And they finally manage to get into the house. BUT!! there’s another stage, to the room.

Sisters:
Ok! In this bag of keys, there’s only 1 key to this room. But each key for each try cost $50.

Brothers:
I dun believe the keys is within it. U prove it to us.

Sisters:
NO!! Just now, u tricked us. We will not fall for the same trick. Money come! No money, no talk!

Brothers:
Discount?? *dragging the time, as there’s still time b4 吉時。

Brothers:

The bridegroom met the bride. And let’s pose for some photos 1st, before back to the 男方的傢。

Back to 男方的傢, they have the traditional tea ceremony (敬茶儀式).   

After changing, back to 娘家 to 敬茶。

Hang ard for a while, and time to go back home to prepare for tonight. Need to style the hair, dress up, make up and rest for a moment. Tonight will be a long night!

“erm.. did I saw Carrie Chong in the pic? Is that her?”

Me:
Yeah! She’s Carrie Chong. She’s my cousin’s close friend since sec sch. So, was invited to celebrate this joyous moment.

And yeah! I knew it.

Of cos, the whole dinner cannot just only eat, den the yam sheng and take photos table to table. There will alway be a FUN part for our generation.

We (cousin’s sis, my sis, rachel, carrie, and ME) decided to tease the bride and the groom. Let’s test how well they know each other. hehe…
(too bad, i’m taking video so no photos. Funny! my brother took my camera, but end up didn’t take any pic.. arghhhh~!!!)

Finally, I got a chance to step into a radio station, sit at the platform and chat LIVE on air over the mic. I have alway longed to see how a radio station look like, and sit at the platform talking to whole singapore audience.

We are invited to Radio 100.3  to 麻辣馆, our segment is from 7pm - 8pm to chat about API and why do we join? With the 2 damm funny DJ, Wen Hong & LiMei.. they really can talk alot, and inspire me being DJ. Being DJ is so COOLl! I also wanna be DJ.. can I??

Able to being on air & visited radio station, I enjoyed myself alotz. And, I took lotz of  ’souvenirs’ photos.
